Melissa Caitlan

I have an Accounting and Finance degree and joined Pocknells straight out of university. I joined the team as an accounts apprentice, and I am working towards becoming ACCA qualified.

I joined the team here during the coronavirus lockdown, and despite this, the people here at Pocknells all made me feel welcome and part of the team straight away. It is simply a great place to work.

I have been exposed to many different aspects of accounting including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, tax returns, and audit. I continue to learn different things every day, which will allow me to build a strong career in accounting.

I enjoy reading in my spare time (anything fiction, really) and aim to read around a book a week. Sometimes I get to attend book tour events, which allows me to learn even more about my favourite books (and receive signed copies!). I also like to bake, especially during Christmas.
